My background in real estate is not what you'd expect. I love to experience the world personally through travel. I have visited almost twenty countries on four continents, staying in some as long as two years and others less than a day.

I grew up in Texas and graduated from the University of Texas - Austin, where I befriended many people from exotic places. After college, I volunteered as a teacher in the Peace Corps, which afforded me the opportunity to enjoy the road less traveled. After leaving West Africa, I married a Yooper and lived in Japan for a couple of years while I taught English as a Foreign Language. When we returned to the US, we settled in the UP, began investing in real estate, and raised our family.

Drawing from my time abroad, I recall  these diverse situations and cultures every day as it gives me a broader perspective of humanity.  I joined The Real Estate Store team in 2015 and continue to enjoy meeting new people and assisting them to find housing while they explore our exotic Northwoods. I believe that all my experiences help me better understand and serve our customers, clients, and tenants.
